Biography:

Niels Valdemar Vinding, BA in Theology (UCph, 2006), MA in Islamic Studies (UCph, 2009), PhD in Islamic Studies (UCph, 2013).

Niels Valdemar Vinding is associate professor in islamic studies and law & religion at the Faculty of Theology, University of Copenhagen.

Niels' general research is on Islam and Muslims in Denmark and Europe, and it currently leading a research project on 'Producing Sharia in Context', funded from 2021 to 2024 by the Danish Independent Research Fund.
